Green River Music Festival is Western Massachusetts' signature summer event.

For one weekend every July, Greenfield Community College hosts an outrageous celebration of world class music, great local food, beer & wine, a handmade craft fair, and lots of family games and activities.

It is all topped off with four hot air balloon launches and a spectacular Saturday night balloon glow.

Susan Tedeschi (/təˈdɛski/; born November 9, 1970) is an American blues and soul musician known for her singing voice, guitar playing, and stage presence. A multiple Grammy Award nominee,[1] she is a member of the Tedeschi Trucks Band (originally known as "Soul Stew Revival"), which is a conglomeration of her band, her husband Derek Trucks's The Derek Trucks Band, and other musicians.

Tedeschi served as a judge for the 7th annual Independent Music Awards to support independent artists' careers.[2]


Derek Trucks (born June 8, 1979) is an American guitarist, songwriter and founder of the Grammy Award-winning[1] The Derek Trucks Band. He played with The Allman Brothers Band, and became an official member in 1999. In 2010 he and his wife Susan Tedeschi formed the Tedeschi Trucks Band. His musical style encompasses several genres and he has twice appeared on Rolling Stone's list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.


Peter Wolf (born Peter W. Blankfield; March 7, 1946) is an American rhythm and blues, soul and rock and roll musician, best known as the lead vocalist for the J. Geils Band from 1967 to 1983[1] and for a successful solo career with writing partner Will Jennings. Wolf married the actress Faye Dunaway in 1974. The marriage ended in divorce in 1979.

Greenfield Community College is a two-year Community College in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1962, and has an annual enrollment of 5,500. It is regionally known for its art program, its small-town atmosphere, and its setting amid picturesque old farmland at the foot of Greenfield Mountain.
