The Prismatic World Tour was the third concert tour by American singer-songwriter Katy Perry, in support of her fourth studio album, Prism (2013). The tour began on May 7, 2014, in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the Odyssey Arena, concluding on October 18, 2015, in Alajuela, Costa Rica at Parque Viva after six legs.[1] The Prismatic World Tour grossed more than $204.3 million from 149 shows with a total attendance of 1,984,503 between 2014 and 2015 and it is Perry's most successful tour to date.[2][3]

Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe[4] (/tˈnɑːʃ/;[5] born February 6, 1993) is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, actress, former model and record producer. [6] She began her entertainment career at the age of three when she began modeling and acting. In 2012, Tinashe released two critically acclaimed mixtapes, In Case We Die and Reverie, which she created in her home studio. After the release of the mixtapes, Tinashe signed with RCA Records. She later released her third mixtape, Black Water (2013). Her debut single, "2 On", reached number one on the Rhythmic airplay chart, and peaked at number 24 on the US Billboard Hot 100.[7] Her debut studio album Aquarius,[8] released in 2014, was noted by music critics as one of the most "solid" debuts by a new female artist in years. She has been nominated for a Soul Train Award in 2014 and was nominated for "Best New Artist" at the BET Awards in 2015.

She made her acting debut in the television film Cora Unashamed in 2000. In 2004, Tinashe appeared in box-office hit The Polar Express alongside actor Tom Hanks, providing the motion capture for the female protagonist. From 2008 to 2009, Tinashe had a recurring role in the American sitcom Two and a Half Men as Celeste, Jake's girlfriend.

Capital Cities is an American indie pop duo from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2010 by Ryan Merchant (vocals, keyboard, guitar) and Sebu Simonian (vocals, keyboard). Their debut EP was released on June 7, 2011, with lead single "Safe and Sound" which became their first top ten hit single. The band currently consists of Ryan Merchant, Sebu Simonian, Manny Quintero on bass guitar, Spencer Ludwig on trumpet, Nick Merwin on guitar and Channing Holmes on drums.

A subsequent single, "Kangaroo Court", was released on March 27, 2012.[7] The band was featured on the Pop Up #1 compilation selected by Perez Hilton that was released on August 7, 2012.[8] The band's song "Safe and Sound" charted at #1 on the US Alternative Songs chart.[9] The song was also used in a German Vodafone commercial.[10] It was also used in the United States and Canada in a television commercial for the 2014 Mazda 3. The song "Center Stage" was featured on ESPN's First Take where they played a short segment of the retro sounding track before going to commercial breaks.

The band's debut album, In a Tidal Wave of Mystery, was released June 4, 2013 via Capitol Records in partnership with Lazy Hooks. It was the first release of new material on Capitol with a Universal Music Group catalog number. The album debuted at number sixty-six on the Billboard 200 chart.
