Latitude Festival 2017

July 13, 2017 - July 16, 2017
July 13, 2017 - July 16, 2017

The Latitude Festival is an annual music festival that takes place in Henham Park, near Southwold, Suffolk, England. It was first held in July 2006. Latitude is said to be more similar to continental European festivals; as well as a comprehensive bill of musicians, bands and artists across four stages - the Obelisk Arena, the BBC Radio 6 Music Stage, the i Arena, and the Lake Stage - the festival comprises elements of theatre, art, comedy, cabaret, poetry, politics, dance and literature.

The festival is run by Festival Republic (formerly the Mean Fiddler Group), which also runs the Reading and Leeds festivals and up until 2013 was contracted to run Glastonbury Festival.

The 1975 are an English rock band originating from Manchester.[2] The group consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew "Matty"[3] Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel.[4]

The band's origins trace to them attending Wilmslow High School and playing together as teenagers in 2002. Gigs organized by a council worker led the band to formally sign as The 1975. Their choice of name was inspired by a Jack Kerouac beat poetry book.[1] They eventually signed a record deal after their success with Dirty Hit and Polydor.

They have released four EPs and two albums. Their self-titled debut was released on 2 September 2013 through Dirty Hit and Polydor,[5] topping the UK Albums Chart on 8 September. Their second album I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it was released on 26 February 2016, topping both the UK Chart and the US Billboard 200. In 2017 the band won the Brit Award for Best British Group.[6]

Mumford & Sons are a British band formed in 2007. The band consists of Marcus Mumford (lead vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, drums), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboard, piano, synthesizer), Winston Marshall (vocals, electric guitar, banjo) and Ted Dwane (vocals, bass guitar, double bass).

Mumford & Sons have released three studio albums: Sigh No More (2009), Babel (2012) and Wilder Mind (2015). Sigh No More peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and the Billboard 200 in the US, with Babel and Wilder Mind both debuting at number one in the UK and US, the former becoming the fastest-selling rock album of the decade[3][4] and leading to a headline performance at Glastonbury Festival in 2013. The band has also issued two live albums: Live at Shepherd's Bush Empire (2011) and The Road to Red Rocks (2012).

The band have won a number of music awards throughout their career, with Sigh No More earning the band the Brit Award for Best British Album in 2011 and six overall Grammy Award nominations. The live performance at the 2011 Grammy ceremony with Bob Dylan and The Avett Brothers led to a surge in popularity for the band in the US. The band received eight total Grammy nominations for Babel and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The band also won the Brit Award for Best British Group in 2013.

Fleet Foxes is an American indie folk band formed in Seattle, Washington.[5] Their first two albums were released by the Sub Pop and Bella Union record labels, with their third by Nonesuch and Bella Union. The band came to prominence in 2008 with the release of their second EP, Sun Giant, and their self-titled debut album. Both received much critical praise and reviewers often noted the band's use of refined lyrics and vocal harmonies. Fleet Foxes' second studio album, Helplessness Blues, was released on May 3, 2011, and their third album, Crack-Up, was released on June 16, 2017 on Nonesuch Records.
