Passport Experience Festival 2016 was created by global DJ, promoter & entrepreneur DJ Fully Focus for Passport Entertainment Group, LLC.

The festival is aimed at bridging cultures through music. "It's the only place where you get to travel the world without a visa" states Focus.

In 2016, Akon, Chaka Zulu (DTP) & Fully Focus formed a joined venture to grow the PXP brand & branching out to different markets. This summer, PXP partnered up with Jack Daniel's for a multi city campaign which included successful events in New York & Los Angeles.

Aliaume Damala Badara Akon Thiam (born April 16, 1973),[1] better known as Akon (pronounced /ˈkɒn/), is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, businessman, record producer and actor.[3] He rose to prominence in 2004 following the release of "Locked Up", the first single from his debut album Trouble.

He has since founded two successful record labels, Konvict Muzik and Kon Live Distribution. His second album, Konvicted received three nominations for the Grammy Awards in two categories, Best Contemporary R&B Album for Konvicted album and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Smack That" and "I Wanna Love You".

He is the first solo artist to hold both the number one and two spots simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 charts twice.[4] Akon has had four songs certified as 3× platinum, three songs certified as 2× platinum, more than ten songs certified as 1× platinum and more than ten songs certified as gold in digital sales. Akon has sung songs in other languages including Tamil, Hindi, and Spanish. He was listed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the #1 selling artist for master ringtones in the world.

Akon often provides vocals as a featured artist and is currently credited with over 300 guest appearances and more than 35 Billboard Hot 100 songs. He has worked with numerous performers such as Michael Jackson, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Whitney Houston, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Gwen Stefani. He has had five Grammy Awards nominations and has produced songs for artists such as Lady Gaga, Colby O'Donis, Kardinal Offishall, Leona Lewis, and T-Pain.

Forbes ranked Akon 80th (Power Rank) in Forbes Celebrity 100 in 2010[5] and 5th in 40 Most Powerful Celebrities in Africa list, in 2011.[6] Billboard ranked Akon No. 6 on the list of Top Digital Songs Artists of the decade.[7]


Tiwatope Savage-Balogun[4] (born 5 February 1980), better known by her stage name Tiwa Savage, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, performer and actress. She is currently signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing as a songwriter.[5] Savage signed a recording contract with Mavin Records in 2012.[6] She co-wrote the track "Collard Greens & Cornbread" off Fantasia Barrino's Grammy-nominated album, Back to Me.[7] Savage was featured on Solar Plexus, a compilation album released by Mavin Records.[8] Her debut studio album, Once Upon a Time, was released on 3 July 2013. It was supported by the singles "Kele Kele Love", "Love Me (3x)", "Without My Heart", "Ife Wa Gbona", "Folarin", "Olorun Mi" and "Eminado". Savage's second studio album, R.E.D, was released on 19 December 2015. It produced the singles "My Darlin'", "African Waist" and "If I Start To Talk". Savage sings in English and Yoruba.[9] As a singer, her achievements include one MTV Africa Music Award, two The Headies Awards, one Channel O Music Video Award, one Nigeria Music Video Award, and two City People Entertainment Awards, among others.

Usher Raymond IV[3][4] (born October 14, 1978) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. Born in Dallas, but raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee was where he lived until moving to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 12 where his mother put him in local singing competitions all over the city. At one of these competitions is where he would catch the eye of a music A&R from LaFace Records. In August 1994 he released his self-titled debut album, Usher with the lead singles "Can U Get wit It" and "Think of You". He rose to fame in the late 1990s with the release of his second album My Way (1997), which spawned his first U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit, "Nice & Slow". The album has been certified 6-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). My Way also earned Usher his first Grammy Award nomination for his debut single "You Make Me Wanna..." that reached number-one on the Rhythmic Top 40, Hot Dance Singles Sales, and US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts.[5] His follow-up album, 8701, produced the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "U Remind Me" and "U Got It Bad".[5] Also from this album "U Don't Have to Call" won Usher his second consecutive Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 2003.

Usher's 2004 album, Confessions, established him as one of the best-selling musical artists of the 2000s decade. It sold over 20 million copies worldwide, bolstered by its four consecutive Billboard Hot 100 number one songs — "Yeah!", "Burn", "Confessions Part II", and "My Boo" — and has been certified diamond by the RIAA.[6] His follow-ups, Here I Stand (2008) and Raymond v. Raymond (2010), debuted atop the Billboard 200 and produced the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "Love in This Club" and "OMG".[7] A follow-up EP, Versus, was released in July 2010 and produced the successful track "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love". His seventh studio album, Looking 4 Myself (2012), debuted at number-one on the Billboard 200 chart.

The RIAA ranks Usher as one of the best-selling artists in American music history, having sold over 23.8 million albums and 38.2 million digital songs in the United States alone.[8] To date, his worldwide sales stand over 75 million records overall, making him one of the best-selling music artists.[9] Usher has won numerous awards including eight Grammy Awards.[10] At the end of 2009, Usher was named the number one Hot 100 artist of the 2000s decade.[11] Billboard named him the second most successful artist of the 2000s decade,[12] with his 2004 album Confessions being ranked as the top solo album of the 2000s decade.[13] Billboard also placed Usher at number six on their list of Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop Artists of the Past 25 Years.[14] Usher has attained nine Hot 100 number-one singles.[15] On September 8, 2007 Raymond was inducted into the 29th Annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame.[16]
